Daniel 8 - The Flying Unicorn

Daniel has another vision, this one of a powerful ram being battered by a flying unicorn from the west. The imagery and the meaning of it all is explained to Daniel by the angel Gabriel.

Daniel 7b - The Meaning of the Beast

What is this beast? What do my visions mean? Daniel approaches the angel and gets an explanation, and we learn a bit about the future course of human history.

Daniel 7a - Kingdoms, Beasts, and a Vision of the Messiah

Daniel has a fantastical dream, and he fortells the cycles of history and human Kingdoms.  The only one that will be forever, is the ultimate kingdom that will one day be led by the one chosen by God.  The Kingdom of God will be the pinnacle of world history.

Daniel 6 - Surviving the Lion's den

In another famous biblical chapter, Daniel becomes the victim of the jealousy of the other nobles.  Using a tactic that would become a standard tactic of antisemites in future years, they forced Daniel to choose between his religion and his King.  Daniel chooses God, and finds himself in the lion's den.

Daniel 5 - The Writing on the Wall

In one of the most famous chapters of the Bible, the King Belshazzar calls a giant durnken party for his noble men. within the drunken sex, revelry, and abuse of the vessels of God's Temple, a hand appears, and writes a mysterious message on the wall.  Only the queen has the sense to call Daniel and ask him for help.  Daniel rebukes the king, and predicts the downfall of the kingdom of Babylon.

Daniel 4b - From Tree Stump, to Animal and Back to the Throne

Daniel interprets the kings dream, that it has been decreed from heaven that Nebuchadnezzar would lose his kingdom and wander the fields like an animal.  Until he learns to be humble before the the true God, and treat his kingdom with justice.

Daniel 4a - Chopping Down the Tree

Another dream bothers the king, this time he sees a great big tree that gets chopped down.  He again calls upon Daniel to interpret its meaning.

Daniel 3b - Rescued from the Fiery Furnace

The enraged king condemns our three heroes to the fiery furnace, and miraculously they are unharmed.  The king finally admits to a power greater than his own.

Daniel 3a - The Golden Statue of Power Versus God

Nebuchadnezzer sets up a giant statue of gold, and demands that all of his subjects worship his "god" of wealth and power.  The Judeans refuse to worship any God but the One True God, and the Chaldeans seize the opportunity to slander the three Jewish officials.  With complete faith in God, the three leaders tell the king, we will not worship your false god.  Even if it means our death by fire.

Daniel 2b - Kingdoms Come and Kingdoms Go

Daniel reveals the images that the king saw in his dream, a great statue made of many materials that gets destroyed by a stone. Human kingdoms will come and go and replace each other over and over.  Until all of humanity recognizes God and establishes a kingdom  that will last forever.
